General Information
Around March of each year, the Alaska Correctional Officers Association sponsors an Annual Legislative Shoot. An invitation is extended to all Legislators and their staff. It is held in Juneau at the Juneau Gun Club. 3-person teams compete at four shooting stations using handguns, shotguns, archery equipment, and .22 rifles.
The “Shoot” is a great event with the purpose of showing our appreciation to Legislators for everything they do for Correctional Officers. Breakfast and lunch are included in the $10 entry fee which all goes back to the Juneau Gun Club. As we get closer to next year’s Shoot we will post the details here.
