AlaskaCare Employee Assistance Program is a service provided by the State. It is a call in center which provides telephonic and/or in person “responsive, caring and effective services to help balance your personal and professional life.” What this translates to is a help line that you can call if you feel you would benefit from discussing any of the issues listed below with a professional.  Using this service you can receive up to 8, confidential, sessions.

  • Emotional wellness
  • Marital/relationship issues
  • Family issues
  • Communication skills
  • Stress management
  • Alcohol and drug issues
  • Work-related issues
  • Grief issues
  • Financial and legal concerns

 

The State’s Employee Assistance Program phone number is (855) 417-2493. If you would like to speak directly to a counselor when you call, just say to the person that answers “I would like to speak to a counselor”. They will collect some information from you, then pass you on to a counselor.
