Correctional Oasis is a monthly publication from Desert Waters Correctional Outreach. Its mission is to strengthen the occupational, personal, and family well-being of correctional staff across all disciplines. Correctional professionals face unique challenges—chronic stress, exposure to violence, and other potentially traumatic or emotionally toxic events—that can take a toll on health, relationships, and quality of life. Over time, these hardships also impact families and agency culture.
