For the 4th year in a row, Correctional Officers volunteering with the Salvation Army Gift Event which provides gifts and food to families in need. As a volunteer, you will help distribute items to families and individuals at the Sullivan Arena. The previous three years have been a great success. This is a an opportunity, not just to help families in need, but to help build Correctional Officers’ image in our community.
If you are interested in volunteering in 4-hour blocks anytime between 10am and 7pm on either December 12th or 13, please give us a call here at the Office – (907) 646-2262 or send us an email – email@example.com. We will organize volunteers into shifts based on when they are available and the times that need to be covered.
ACOA host a breakfast for Officers who are volunteering before the start of the event each day.
Free food and donating your time to a good cause – there no reason not to participate.
“Anchorage Neighborhood GIFT is a collaborative project between The Salvation Army Alaska Division, The Food Bank of Alaska and Lutheran Social Services of Alaska that provides food for a festive meal and/or toys for children (up to age 14) to support families who need assistance during the holiday season.”
