About ACOA
Alaska Correctional Officers Association (ACOA) was established in 2004. We are an independent, non-profit labor organization representing Alaska's Correctional Officers. Correctional Officers work behind the scenes to protect the public, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Correctional Officers truly do “Walk Alaska's Toughest Beat.”
The mission of the Alaska Correctional Officers Association is to promote and enhance the Correctional Officer profession, to advocate for safe terms and conditions of employment, fair and equitable wages and benefits to allow Correctional Officers to properly support their families. ACOA members “Walk Alaska’s Toughest Beat” and our primary mission is to ensure that each officer is able to return safely to his or her family at the end of each shift.
